Nearly three months into the new year, I finally bag my first train. This may be the Northtown KCK, but I can't swear to it. This job was stopped in Long Lake for about forty minutes before it rolled on down into Minneapolis. Amusingly enough, while out seeking pics, I saw a car going east on the Highway 12 bypass (foreground) honk it's horn several times trying to get the hogger in the 76 to sound his air horn. He gave a short blast in reply! Wonder if that car was full of railfans? |

My latest catch made from my apartment was this lashup on the head end of a stopped eastbound freight. Dig that ex-Santa Fe Warbonnet! The train was stopped for about two hours before the hogger blew the air horn a few times and proceeded on down the line once the dispatcher cleared them to proceed. |
