This is the south leg of the former Rock Island wye at the site of the Inver Grove swing bridge. Since Rock Island passenger trains rarely passed through the Inver Grove yard, it was this track on the wye which chiefly saw the passage of the "Rockets" and other Twin City are RI varnish. Note the signal base at far left. |
