A chilly but clear morning sun brilliantly illuminates the Preston Historical Society's Milwaukee Road display placed beneath the town's old grain elevator. To think that the rails in the Milwaukee yard that once existed here came up during the Milwaukee Road's proverbial winter of discontent (i.e., it's third and last bankruptcy). |
