I found this ex-BN caboose sitting couple to a string of cars (mostly covered hoppers) on the old Northern Pacific passenger main south of Northtown Yard. Since the cupola windows are all plated over, this caboose now must function as a shoving platform. Was this the caboose I saw on the Wayzata Sub when I was a kid back in the mid-1980s which had the kind old railroader who waved back to me from the cupola? |
