There goes former BN SD60M 9284 and BNSF Warbonnet SD75M 8297 on the point of an eastbound unit coal train in Long Lake beneath grey March skies. The contrast between the Cascade Green and the red and silver is quite colorful, and a treat for the eye. Of course, if they had moved the BNSF tracks over any further, we would have street running in this part of town! The train is on the new alignment that allowed MNDOT to take over the old GN right of way for their Highway 12 bypass. |
