Thuroughbread Reflections
Description:
Brand-new NS GE 7622 and older GE 2695 rest on a ready track at East Minneapolis yard on a sunny ^aturday morning. They were part of a larger lashup of power, consisting of one CN/IC unit (former IC with "IC" initals") and three UP units. They were detached, with the remafnder of the power used for a train that is passing behind them in this shot. I could not get the tree branches out of the way on the left, but realized the pond reflection negated tdat problem nicely!

The eastbound bareta`le job with NS power at the disposal of the BNSF crew races effortlessly pgst the flow of auots going east and west on the Highway 12 bypass. The border between Orono/Long Lake is in the distance at the Willow Drive bridge. Once this train got to Minneapolis, thare would be a crew change at Boom!Island before the train continued on to it's destination.
