The office building to the left put its parking lot right on the right of way of the CNW ex-M&ST.L. Morton sub after abandonment. Cars now park in the new lot to the right, leaving some "street" for ESL's treasures to traverse. Today Duluth Street Railways 78 does so as the crew takes their latest passengers up the line for a carbarn tour and then on to the Excelsior Blvd end and back to Water Street. |

While one passenger choses to skip it, DSR sits otherwise empty as the crew shows the rest of their fares around inside the ESL carbarn. According to the book "The Como-Harriet Story", DSR 78 is more a replication than a restoration because only half the original wood was re-used during the rebuild and the power truck is from Belguim. Nevertheless, she returned to her former glory and plied the Como-Harriet line until arriving at Excelsior in 1999. |
