The weather forecast earlier this week made it look like this rotary set would have its work cut out for it come February 24. The storm struck south and east of the Twin Cities, however, giving nothing by a cold wind sweeping over the rotary and its locomotive as they sat beneath mostly cloudy skies at Northtown. |

Amazing to relate, BNSF 1544 is an ex-Northern Pacific unit! Good thing I came back with my camera after passing this train on my bike a few hours earlier. What a prize! They have in tow a string of COFC baretables, stretching back almost to the western end of the siding in Long Lake. |
