Rolling Through Suburbia
Description:
The MNS local rolls through the highly suburbanized eastern side of Golden Valley as the crew totes one smoothside hopper car back to Humboldt Yard. The I-394 bridge is in the background, and the grade crossing is for Golden Hills Drive. I was surprised to see a mix of old and new units were assigned to today's run. I made the catch around 8 A.M. after pursuing the train up from St. Louis Park.

Running Light Across 394
Description:
The#northbound CP local crosses 394 as the crew runs light back to Humboldt Yard just before 8 A.M. on Veteran's Day 2015. I remember the Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern-era bridge which used to stand here until massive highway improvements during the mid-1980s (?) resulted in the span you see here.
