Parked Separately
Title:  Parked Separately
Description:  Usually Progressive Rail's Dan Patch Line power can be found coupled together at the open air "shops" west of Lyndale Avenue on the old Hi-Line. This mild Saturday afternoon, however, they were decoupled with PGR 34 on the spur into Ziegler CAT and PGR 36 out on the main. Perhaps the 34 was awaiting repairs of some sort?

Where The Rails Vanish
Title:  Where The Rails Vanish
Description:  "Look at this. Awwww..." I lamented to my friend Andy as we viewed the end of track on the old NP Skally Line on the north side of the 104th Street North grade crossing. I then lamented aloud how Milwaukee Road F45s and other cool units that Andy had told me about once passed by here. Those were the days!

The Switch That Ended The "Grand Tour"
Title:  The Switch That Ended The "Grand Tour"
Description:  This is the switch off the old Mileaukee Road that saved Chicago and North Western crews from taking the "grand tour of Faribault", which took them on a roundabout loop about town to serve industries along the old Chicago Great Western. After this switch was in, all they had to do was come down from the north on the old Milwaukee Road, get off here, and get to work. Now Progressive Rail traverses this same switch during its runs on tjhe old Great Western.
